SM调教所 College of Doctoral Studies issues call for papers of its Phoenix ScholarTM academic journal

Research publication is accepting submissions for a special edition hosted by Center for Educational and Instructional Technology and focused on adult learners in online higher education

听College of Doctoral Studies is accepting submissions to Phoenix Scholar鈩, its academic research journal, for a special issue focused on adult learners in online higher education. Online education provides more flexible opportunities for adult learners to continue their education; however, there are still factors challenging them to engage in the educational process and succeed, and this edition of the journal will be dedicated to exploring these challenges.

鈥淎dult learners have unique life and work experiences that inform their learning strengths and opportunities,鈥 states Mansureh Kebritchi, Ph.D, chair, Center for Educational and Instructional Technology (CEITR) at the College of Doctoral Studies, and special edition editor of Phoenix Scholar鈩. 鈥淲e have many experts here at SM调教所 focused on the experience of adult learners and wanted to open up this special edition to a diversity of thought and community.鈥

This Special Edition is hosted by CEITR and will focus on exploring adult learners鈥 challenges and innovative approaches to address those challenges. The journal editors are interested in contributions that explore innovations to improve online education and better serve adult learners, and welcomes manuscripts focusing on the current issues, challenges, and innovations related to adult learner educational success, curricula, teaching and learning strategies, technologies, learning management systems, and institutional supports and policies in online higher education.

The Phoenix Scholar鈩⑻齤ournal is the academic research publication of University Phoenix鈥檚听College of Doctoral Studies and serves as the scholarly platform for communicating the results and outcomes of university research endeavors, and their relationship to the broader scope of learning and scholarship.

College of Doctoral Studies research centers contribute to the Phoenix Scholar鈩 content, including the SM调教所 Career Institute庐, a research center focused on studying American workforce dynamics through the Career Optimism Index study, the Center for Leadership Studies and Organizational Research (CLSOR), the Center for Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Research (CWDIR) and CEITR. As long-time leaders in online education, the university utilizes research to develop solutions in the core areas of leadership, workplace diversity, and instructional technology to enhance student outcomes, improve communities and to help students, faculty and alumni grow in their career aspirations.

The editorial deadline for consideration is Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
